Patch 2.5

Summer Beach Bash

Dive into the Summer event update: a narrated beach story, repeatable Summer Splash challenges, Beach Ball loot, skin variants, fresh quests, new summer items, a Modifier 5v5 mode, and a wave of balance changes.

Summer Event

S
Summer Beach Bash story artwork

Summer is now a live event theme in the character selector. The selector can launch with either Summer or Junior Years, and you can swap between them from the event selector.

  • Summer event video and music are now in.
  • The event switcher keeps the launch choice fresh.
  • Junior Years can still be selected whenever you want it.

Skin Variants

V
Summertime Angel Twilight skin variant Surfer Bridget Storm skin variant Summertime Dasha Lime skin variant

Summer skins now have variant looks in the Beach Ball pool. Variants give familiar event skins new colors and moods without replacing the original.

  • Beach Ball can drop summer skins at 2.5% chance.
  • Owned skins are avoided when possible.
  • Base skins and variants are both listed below.

Challenges

C

Three repeatable Summer Splash challenges are available, each paying out Beach Ball lootboxes. Finish the full bunch for a bigger reward bundle.

  • Ice Bucket Challenge
  • Coconut Mommy Helps
  • Splash 5v5

Draft Mode Rebuilt

The updated draft screen has a cleaner big-stage look for picks, teams, chat, role filters, and the pick order. Patch 2.5 also adds a new PVE mode that launches through draft.

Modifier 5v5 PVE

A new PVE mode is available from the character selector. It launches through draft into a 5v5 fight where both sides can pick modifier offers.

  • Your side and the enemy side both get modifier choices.
  • Inventory and stat allocation bonuses are active for both teams.
  • Enemy teams bring ranked-style item loadouts.
  • Win to earn 2x Beach Ball lootboxes.

Event Selector

The top event selector can now swap between Summer and Junior Years. The launch theme is still split between the two events, so each visit can start with a different mood.
